Irene Buxton

Buxton knitted watch caps for the "Bundles for Britain" program. The program supplied non-military aid to British citizens under siege by German military forces. Germany began attacking southeastern England in July 1940. Hitler hoped the bombings would demoralize British citizens before he mounted a seaborne invasion.
