Marine Corps Memorial
Felix
DeWeldon fashioned this memorial after Rosenthal's photo of
the flag raising at Iwo Jima. He worked on the memorial for
nine years and at a cost of $850,000. It stands at 110 feet
and weighs 100 tons. The bronze statue sits at Arlington National
Cemetery in Virginia. Bradley's figure stands to the right
of DeWeldon.
