About Buelah Mancl
Mancl
volunteered for the Army Nurses Corps. She left Appleton for
basic training at Camp Bowie, Texas, in 1943. She had already
earned a nursing certificate from St. Mary School of Nursing
in Milwaukee earlier in the year. She joined the Army because
she wanted to see the world and use her nursing skills. |
