More About Douglas Ogilvie

Ogilvie grew up in Appleton. He graduated from Appleton High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison before enlisting in the Air Force in April 1941. He left service in 1945 and finished college with financial assistance provided by the G-I Bill. He became the first engineer for Pierce Company and eventually worked as the Company's Chief Executive Officer. Ogilvie married Myrtle Baumann on May 6, 1950, and the couple raised seven children. The Ogilvies live on a farm near Hortonville.
