Call to Duty: Outagamie County in World War II

Wartime Toys

Toy manufacturers sent metal and rubber used in the making of toys to the government during the war. The government used these materials to make military equipment like jeep tires, life rafts, airplane parts, and gas masks. Toy manufacturers improvised and made toys of cardboard and wood. Many toys had a patriotic or wartime theme.
