Magic Workshop
Come to The History Museum to learn magic tricks and illusions with magician Lou Lepore’. Keep kids engaged on this school in-service day. Great for kids aged 8-13. Workshop is $12/ child. Price includes all magic materials, a snack and admission to A.K.A. Houdini. 

Silent Film – The Golem
Get in the Halloween spirit and come to The History Museum to watch the classic silent horror film The Golem. Noted organist Frank Ripple has composed a frightening score for the film that he will perform on the massive pipe organ. Come watch the giant clay Golem wreak havoc on his creators! Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase. Come in costume and get a free bag of popcorn!
Admission: $7 per person in advance or at the door.

Remembering Houdini
Learn about Houdini’s relationship to Halloween and the spiritualist movement. A Museum curator will give guided tours through the AKA: Houdini exhibit and leave lots of time for hands-on exploration. Get in the spirit of Halloween with a personal tour of Houdini’s life!

Ghosts in the Valley
Get ready to be scared! Have you experienced a spooky incident or been in a haunted house? Did you know that there is a house on Division St. where some believe a Spirit threw a can of varnish right at a non-believer? Get ready for a haunting good time as noted local historian Nancy Barker shares ghost stories from the Fox Valley. Half the fun of a good ghost story is telling your own – so bring your memories to share during this fun Halloween event! Refreshments will be available
