Beaten To A Pulp
Goal: Students will gain a sense of the nature of the job of making paper and consider other related industries.
Objectives:
1) Students will analyze a circa 1905 photo of paper makers in an unidentified Fox Valley Paper Mill.
2) Students will record their observations of the photo in question 1.
3) Students will synthesize information from the photograph with their knowledge of the papermaking process (see activity # 2) as they guess what part of the papermaking process takes place in the room photographed.
4) Students will use information in the photograph to speculate about industries that might be important to or related to the success of the papermaking industry.
