Hideki Tojo

Tojo acted as Prime Minister, War Minister, and Home Affairs Minister of Japan from 1941 to 1944. He supported Japanese rule in East Asia through the establishment of a regional "co-prosperity sphere." He supported invasions of Korea and China, and an attack on the United States. Justices of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East sentenced Tojo to death for his involvement in Japanese atrocities.
