Call to Duty: Outagamie County in World War II
Mark of Commendation

Lawrence hosted a V-12 program because it wanted to contribute to the war effort. The V-12 program also helped bolster Lawrence's sagging enrollment. Cadets made up most of the College's male population during the war. The Navy paid Lawrence for each cadet's tuition, housing, and food.
