Call to Duty: Outagamie County in World War II

Company D Flag

These men use a flag to distinguish their company from others during training. Company D trained at Camp Beauregard and Camp Livingston in Louisiana for over a year. The Army sent them to Fort Devens, Massachusetts, for transport to Ireland and fighting in Europe. The Army later reversed this order and sent them to Fort Ord, California. They sailed for Australia on April 22, 1942.
